Alberta Johnson is Founder and CEO of People Experts LLC, a human resource and equity consulting firm. She has over 20 years of experience in executive management and has directed overall operations for various organizations in areas of human resources, diversity, equity and inclusion and employee engagement.

Alberta has dedicated her career to balancing inequities and civil rights. She’s held leadership roles in the public, private, non-profit and government sectors including the City of Chicago, Appraisal Institute and Gagen MacDonald. As an accomplished executive human resources leader, Alberta brings a wealth of national and global experience to the forefront of cultural change and training initiatives.

With a career spanning multinational corporations and diverse industries, Alberta has consistently demonstrated her expertise in navigating the intricate landscape of cultural dynamics within organizational settings. From spearheading diversity and inclusion programs to implementing cross-cultural training modules, she has been instrumental in fostering environments that celebrate cultural diversity and promote equity and belonging.

Alberta’s leadership extends beyond borders, as she has successfully guided teams through cultural transitions in various regions, leveraging her nuanced understanding of local customs and global trends. Alberta holds a B.A. in Sociology, a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA). Alberta has served on a number of Boards of Directors including IL SHRM as Chair of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging and Chicago SHRM as Strategic Partnerships Chair. Alberta currently serves as a Mentor for SHRM Executive Network and as President of the Friends of Pediatrics for the Children’s Hospital University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).
